After years of being a competitive gymnast, a plethora of injuries and rehabilitation, Anisa found her passion for helping people through movement.
Anisa has always been in sports. When she fell in love with gymnastics at 8 years old, it took a life of its own with school and gymnastics becoming her main focus for nearly 10 years. Immersing herself in high-level sports taught her self-discipline, competitiveness and eagerness to constantly improve. Chronic injuries led to Anisa’s retirement from sports and an interest in weightlifting and healthcare to keep her body strong and healthy.
She graduated from the University of Waterloo in 2017 with Honours in B.Sc Kinesiology. After graduation, she immediately began working in healthcare clinics and gyms with physiotherapists, chiropractors, massage therapists and other practitioners as an exercise therapist. In 2018, Anisa passed her licensing exam to become a Registered Kinesiologist, and obtained her certification in Soft Tissue Release to improve her manual skills.
Since then, Anisa has worked with a variety of clients from motor vehicle accidents, WSIB patients, athletes and more. She has also developed experience managing and directing clinics, as well as, marketing to help clinic’s growth.
